The joys of love
So of the last few weeks P and I have been pasting a cold back and forth. Sunday night I was just restless and could not sleep, and Monday night it came to a head that P was coughing for 30 mins in his sleep. This woke me thou he was able to sleep thur it I kindly woke him up to tell him to take some medicine. After he took the med he stopped coughing and went back to sleep, I however was up till 4:45 and got to listen to him clear his throat and get ready for work. So needless to say I was a happy camper at work! Tuesday night the poor boy was afraid to breathe! I loaded up on nyquil and finally got some sleep. Now if the weather will just stay nice so we can get over all this crud!

When are ya'll moving?
So after much thought and with having concern of the market and economy we are going to wait to move to New Braunfels once Patrick is transfered with Blue Bell. It is a little too scary for both of us to get new jobs at new companies with all the layoffs that are happening. So with luck P was able to talk to the apartments and we extended our lease for two months. So the wedding planning is still for NB but it looks like P will not get transfered til closer to May. In a way I am not stressed like before but now we are leaving it up to fate. So but the boxes back in storage for a few more months!

Going to the Chapel of Love
Well it has finally happened. Friday night after a very romantic dinner I cooked, Patrick asked me to marry him. After tell him "Oh no your not" I said yes. I just didn't think it would be at home with me in my PJ's!
So now is the fun filled planning stage. We are looking at July 4th. Since we both have gone thur the whole large "what a wedding is suppose to be" - WE want a small relaxing weekend with friends and family. Now to convince my mother of this...

So what do you want to be when you grow up?
So this past week P and I headed up to his parents Weds night to do interviews and for me to get acclaimmated to the SA, NB and San Marcos area. Getting to their house at 10 pm surprisingly they were both sleeping, but woke up as we unloaded the truck with things that can be stored there til...well let's just say once we finally get a house it is going to be like Christmas with all the stuff we have in storage everywhere!
Thursday morning I was off and running. I do have to say the traffic there is nothing compared to what I am use to in Houston. I planned all my appointment with plenty of time inbetween and ended up having time to shop, get my nails done meet P for breakfast and lunch. One thing I hate about headhunters is they are so axnious to get you in but have nothing in any field near what you would do. Or they have all this promising work and you call to follow up and they are not in the office, they will call back (still waiting, glad I did not hold my breathe)
We decided to come back on Saturday to be able to sleep comfty and cause Tiggy would not be a happy camper but may be able to forget by Sunday. We got in town and took a nap and went to Matt's show at Texas Saloon. We did find out what it takes to get kicked outta there!
Sunday we got to relax and get ready for another fun week...

New Year, New You
So New Years has come and left. We opted to stay in and eat and drink and play games on the Wii with friends. Really just what we wanted! I look back at years past and get out of the house just was not appealing. We stayed in lounge clothes for the whole evening and watched the ball drop at midnight and were in bed by 2!
I force fed Patrick and Christa black eyed peas and cabbage on New Years day. Force fed, as in told them to eat it, neither of them knew if they liked cabbage but after initial reservations both ate a full bowl! So with that, here is to a prosperious new year to us all!
This year looks to bring much change in our house including but not limited to:
Moving to the hill country- many want to call it home in their retirement- we hope to call it home in raising a family. We have plenty of years to figure out somewhere else to retire!
A wedding to shortly follow. P has bought the rings and is ploying as to when and where to give it to me.
Which is to be followed with buying a house. Figure we should make sure we like New Braunfels before jumping into a house there.
Somewhere in all of this there also is talk of going on a cruise and selling P's boat and getting a new bigger one. Going ahead and trying to get a vaca in and new toy before trying to start a family. Yikes yes I said it- something important to both Patrick and I is to have a family. It was something in "previous lifes" that was not obtainable and looking back we are both ok with. There is a reason it did not happen but it is definately something we are both looking forward to in the somewhat near future.
It is good to look back on past failures as they seemed at the time, to see how they where just cracks in the walk to get you to pay attention to the road ahead of you.
So as always I am no good with resolutions so I don't make them. Instead I like to reflect and make goals. One goal for this year is to keep up with this blog to keep everyone in the loop of our travels and live. So enjoy and Happy New You to you and yours!
